Biography
Dr. Kuo-Chen Chou is the founder of Gordon Life Science Institute. He is also a Distinguished High Impact Professor and Advisory Professor of several Universities. Professor Chou has published over 510 papers in the fields of computational biology and biomedicine, protein structure prediction, low-frequency internal motion of protein and DNA and its biological functions, diffusion-controlled reactions of enzymes, as well as graphic rules in enzyme kinetics and other biological systems. Professor Chou’s awards include: “Medal of Science and Technology†(awarded by Shanghai Congress of Science & Technology, 1977); “National Science Medal†(awarded by the National Academy of Sciences, China, 1978); “The Scientist with the most number of hot papers (2007-2008) in the world†(honored by Web of Science, 2008); “The high impact distinguished professor†(honored by the Center of Excellence in Genomic Medical Research, 2013); “2014 Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Biology & Biochemistry and Computer Science†(honored by Thomson Reuters); “2015 Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Biology & Biochemistry†(honored by Thomson Reuters).
